Huge pickup for Lil Brother

Because our media is incredibly lazy.

They merely just repeat whatever the university spokesperson says. Dig deeper and actually investigate and you'll uncover some of these details. I am still connected to several coaches in Utah County. And from what I have heard, pita has still not been baptized into the LDS church. I am not sure why. It does not appear to be anything shady necessarily.

Those who think that Cary Whittingham had much to do with this really don't know their situation. Pita was BYU's until this fell apart. If BYU had a scholarship for him he would still be BYU's. BYU messed up and Utah just had an opening.

Well I wish the cougars could have got him, but since they didn't, at least he is staying in state.

Nice pick up for the utes

Kinda off topic.... I have heard that byu might be getting some dude from tcu or something

As a fan of neither team, I just want to say from this outsiders view, hearing a BYU fan call a Ute fan lil brudder is just silly. It just has that feel of nerdiness.

Grades are the only thing that would keep him from playing. He didn't sign anything with BYU.

I suspect it might be a reaction to the Ute coach who refused to ever mention BYU by name (Urban Meyer). He just called them "the team down south", or "TDS" for short.* Also quite silly/nerdy, imo.

* Wikipedia says he also wouldn't let his players mention BYU. I hadn't realized that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_War_(Utah_vs._BYU)

The difference being that byu is actually a team that is, you know, located South of the Utes so it makes sense. Also, it was good trash talk that had momentum.

The little brother thing obviously makes no sense to anyone but the 94' Aerostar minivan drivin, MLM schemin, White short sleeve dress shirt wearin mega zoobs. I've never heard someone say it besides Conan or Thriller (nobody in real life).

Wait, CONAN and Thriller aren't real?

That makes sense.

Whew.

+1 for Humanity.

Why isn't he eligble to play?

Due to eligibility issues after relocating to the United States from Tonga, Taumoepenu will not be able to participate until after the 2013 season.

The return of Tayo Fabuluje apparently. Nice. Honorable mention all Big 12 last year as a Soph, started every game at OT. We need lineman. 6-7" 315 lb will work:

Sweet.

Also heard that byu got a committment from a safety that is supposedly the best secondary prospect in the state and ranked 38th nationally. (Idk if he is 38th nationally by position or just overall.... I do know he is in the top 100 recruits overall though)

He seems like a great player from the arcticle I read

Kavika Fonua of Syracuse. We smoked him but he is a decent player with great measurables.
