K now y'all.. We're all bball fans here, and regardless of age, we all wear basketball shorts.

Are y'all as particular as I am though? Must have pockets, must be above the knee. Must be thick, must be minimally branded. It's difficult for me to find good shorts. I'm the type of guy who comes home and changes into bball shorts. they get so much run-time, i cannot skimp, they have to meet expectations.

what do you guys like in shorts?
 
Above the knee basketball shorts? Good luck finding those.

I just wear nike's from an outlet store back where my parents live. I find the least baggy kind possible, they work for me. Slightly above the knee.
 
I've got a black Jordan shorts I sometimes wear during summer in my apartment to avoid sweating ^^
It has pockets, that's useful when playing outside for keys or some cash or whatever

i bought my black ones on my mission. good deep pockets and they are layerd but breath well when balling hard. my washing machine ate mine a few weeks ago though. sad day for me. the tie sting got sucked into the washer and it shot slowly killed them. any condolences offered would be appreciated.

But tbh I went to a foot locker store cause I needed new basketball shorts. Only ones they had in my size and were looking decent. Not Black white purple hood styler crap. Other regular stores in Germany don't have basketball equipment, so I had the choice to buy or order via the Interwebs. I decided to buy. The shorts feel great though. Can't wait to drop my antibiotics and score some hoops again.
 
I don't have specific rules, but yeah I wear basketball shorts allll the time.

I don't wear them because I have Provo River Peter and feel like I have to rock a cup to cover this unfortunate situation up. That's not cool when going to the c-store for beer.

Unless you keep your cash wad in there. You can't turn down USD that's illegal!!!
 
I'm lucky cause I get to wear basketball shorts to work. Must be below the knee and have pockets. Also must be dark colors. I think I'm in basketball shorts 80% of the time including winter.
 
I have around 5 pairs of those charcoal-gray Starter Dri-Stars that they sell in every Wal-Mart in the country. Great feel, cheap and comfortable as can be. Easily the best shorts I've ever worn.

But really, I only own one pair. They go just barely below the knees, and have a draw string and pockets.
 
I'm very lucky I get to wear bball shorts all day long. Have to be long to cover the garmz. Have to have deep pockets for keys. Need to match maroon, black, and grey usually but not always.

As far as brands I haven't really found anything that didn't last for awhile. I'm sure there are some bad brands but I've yet to run into them.
 
Since I refuse to wear anything associated with Nike, I was forced to buy "And 1" shorts. At 6'3" 240+, I need 'em long and strong. I like the "And 1" brand, they last, and they're not too expensive. The hard part is picking the stitching to remove all of their gay-*** logos. Ya, I'm like the guy who buys an old piece of **** Civic, takes off any/all markers, decals, or symbols, adds a three-toned body kit and 4 donut tires. Boo ya. If the shorts aren't at least two inches below the knee, they're way too short. Like others, I'm in ball shorts 80% of my life.
