What's new

Rank the 5 young guys

OK here it goes. Not how I would rank them as of today but how I see them in the future.

1. alpha dog Burke
2. Garbage man Favors
3. Bruiser Kanter
4. best 3d option I can't shoot but keep trying Hayward
5. In da doghouse Burks.

Kanter is doing the flip flopping. We are just pointing it out. Not our fault.

He's young, inexperienced, and injured. Of course he's going to be inconsistent.

It's about looking at all the available information we've gathered on Kanter over the years and making a projection, not overreacting one game at a time. This board goes from saying he's a potential superstar/MAX player, then just a few weeks later ranking him below Alec Burks.

Word.

Utterly ridiculous.

Burks is a dime a dozen player.

Top 4 is a pretty fluid situation tbh.

Yup, a great core that, on its own, could keep us competitive for a long time .. or with a true star like Wiggins/Parker .. could make us a legit contender.

I'll be surprised if Kanter doesn't average 17/9 at some point in his career .. and feel confident he'll be doing it within two years.

Surprizes me some are really underestimating Kanter, and I actually see Burks as a very good player if he can just settle down a bit, along with our brilliant coach not asking him to play pg. burks has been pretty consistent since Burke took over pg duties.

Role player = Burks
Leader = Burke
Facilitator = Hayward
Presence = Favors
Trouble = Kanter

Kanter is going to be good but he will look like **** until we hire a new coach.

The one I'm not totally sure about is Kanter. I think he could pass Hayward, but I'm confident about rest.

Favors
Kanter
Hayward
Burks
Burke (sorry everyone but i need a bigger sample size and i was admittedly one of the haterz...... im coming around though, just need more games before i do a complete 360)

I really like all five of them for the future. The key is not which of these guys will play, but how effectively the Jazz can build a team around them.

All they need is experience and a couple of additional really good players around them them.

I hate doing 360s, I rather just do 0's instead.

I think it is really evident that Burke has something to him. and if you consider that our offensive rating went from 30th in the league to 10th over the 5 games he has started, he is certainly the most important player on the team. He makes the offense work a lot better.

This.

Without him our team was a wreck. With him I think we could survive minus one of our other pieces. Small sample size aside, he's looking like the team MVP at the moment. Not that he's the best player, but that he's the glue that holds it all together.
