A lot of local media attention lately about this. Utah has either 6, 7, or 8(I've seen all #'s recently so I don't know which one is correct) of them that made the cut to a list of 1058 being considered in the English speaking world; such as these:

In sickness and in health, in good times and bad, until Mars do us part. They weren’t exactly the marriage vows Becky Sullivan agreed to, but it’s increasingly looking like a reality.
Her husband of 5½ years, Ken Sullivan, has made the cut from more than 200,000 applicants to 1,058 for a one-way trip to settle the Red Planet as part of the Mars One project.
It’s led to some difficult conversations around the dinner table:
"The question is do we get divorced now or get divorced later," she said Sunday night in their living room. "If I stand in the way of his dreams and passions, then we get divorced now, so I have to be supportive."
Leaving behind a wife is difficult enough, but Ken Sullivan, 38, has four children ranging in age from 6 months to 13 years old.

Kitty Kane has her travel plans made, although her departure is not yet confirmed. She's hoping to take a trip to Mars, one-way. And it's not for 10 more years.
The 24-year-old Provo hairstylist has applied to be one of the first people from Earth to colonize the red planet. Initially, 200,000 turned in applications. That number has been pared down to 1,058 and she is still in the running. Seven others of those continuing on are from Utah. Organizers are planning on an international crew. Of the more than 1,000 currently in the running, almost 300 are from the United States. One of the requirements is that they all must speak English, to facilitate communication.
