Marv Williams would be good off the bench on this team. Ultimately I would love to see them make a move to trade for Anderson from NO.

we don't need to hit the salary floor.

If you don't pay out up to the salary floor, then you also don't get a cut from the tax paying teams. With the new CBA and TV contracts, there's no reason not to pay up to the salary floor. A small market team like the Jazz can't afford to not take advantage of those things. Makes some trades for assets or go after a quality free agent on a short contract.

This. Trade Kanter or Burks for Ryan Anderson and start him at the 4. I would prefer a better shooting small forward than Hayward more of a veteran.

I'm pretty sure they will have Exum start from day one, this isn't the old days of Sloan or Corbin, Exum whom we used the 5th pick on this deep draft on will start at either guard position, I promise.

Disagree. Exum may be great eventually, but he still needs to develop. Trey and Alec will start, with Hayward moving to SF. Exum still gets 25-30 mins/per playing both guard positions. Neto can get some burn too. Hood plays 18 behind Hayward. At the PF/C rotation, I'm hoping the Jazz DON'T sign anyone else of significance. Gobert should be playing 25 mins/per. Kanter and Favors get >30 and Evans can get 10.

Perhaps, I don't think DL is done yet. He is going to make at least one move. We will see who that is.

Yeah, I think it's unlikely that Exum starts on day1. However, if Trey is dealt, then we'll need to revisit. I think it's probably better for him off the bench anyway. And maybe we can drive Trey's stock up.

I think Exum ends up starting day 1. It won't be because it's handed to him but he'll show it through Summer league/Pre season/Practice. But I think lineup on starting day (if no major trades happen & we keep Hayward) will be.

PG/SG: Burke (will guard 1's on D but on offense will play more off ball)
SG/PG: Exum (will facilitate the offense/play point. Guard the bigger man on D)
SF: Hayward
PF: Kanter (if Tomic doesn't come over)
C: Favors
6th Man: Burks

Almost ready to take all this back. Nightmares about Trey's defense.

Burke Exum Neto
Burks Exum vet shooter
Hayward Marvin
Kanter Marvin Evans
Favors Kanter Gobert

Marvin can be a good 3&D guy off the bench, and also provid some minutes at the stretch 4. Let Hood learn under Marvin at the three, and tell him that once his defense gets better he can dip into Marvin's mins, hopefully he'll be ready in his soph year. Tomic can go to hell. I don't want that loser.

Jody Genessy: Raul Neto will play on the Jazz's Summer League squad, but the addition of Dante Exum all but guarantees he'll play in Spain next year.

How is that? The Jazz always carry 3 PGs. They surely won't pick up the option on JL3 and Neto would get the nod over Garrett.

Agree.
Neto has been in town for a week now.
He will probably stay for summer league.
He will be here for maybe 6 weeks.
He looks like he wants to play for Jazz next season.
Jazz should sign him and figure out how to get time for Burke, Exum, Neto

I was just thinkin about how we could tarde Burke

PG - Burke, Exum, Neto
SG - Burks, Exum, Neto
SF - Hayward, Hood
PF - Kanter, Williams, Evans
C - Favors, Tomic, Gobert

decent

PG - Burke, Exum, Neto
SG - Burks, Exum, Hayward
SF - Hayward, Hood, Evans
PF - Kanter, Williams, M Thomas, E Murphy
C - Favors, Tomic, Gobert.

Still room for 1 to 3 rental players for picks. None of back up power forwards are sure to be back or resigned all depends on what assets we can pick up

I never thought I'd say this - but let's re-sign Marvin.

I still can't get over our youth. Just call us the Jr. Jazz.
