I think this is what a lot of Jazz twitter folk have been overlooking. The season's 2/3 of the way over. We're not taking on Westbrook's contract for a full year.

It's certainly not what most of us in the fanbase were hoping for, but it does move the Jazz along toward their goals. All this talk about a seller's market I think made us greatly overrate what the buyers were willing to pay.

Highly, highly doubt it. Conley basically a neutral in trade (given his contract, age). Beasely/Vando combined together (or separately) probably not fetching anything more desirable than a single Lakers pick.

And probably especially to Lakers: bigger, younger, expiring (if they lean into cap space), won't need to run the show to be maximally effective
