I don’t really think that is the argument here - I would say that we’re currently in the middle of the NBA, which is the worst place to be. We either have to bottom out, draft really really well while in the middle, or trade assets to get to title contention. We’re lucky that all of those paths...

I’m not sure how #10 and some bad contracts gets them a “big name complementary piece.” Their best case scenario there is probably OG if Toronto decides to blow it up, but I would also assume that the Raptors could get more than that.

Man, it really is starting to look like Memphis got way too conservative after getting off to a great start in their rebuild. They clearly have some pretty poor leadership with how cocky they are as a group, probably should’ve brought in some more established vets at some point
