    Let’s talk about fours

If Favs does leave than I think we need to take a hard look at Trevor Ariza. He can guard four positions and can play inside and outside on offense. I think Houston will have its hands full with their big name free agents so Ariza will not be a priority for them.

Lol. Let's make sure its Porter Jr. so he slides all the way to 21.

Troy Brown doesn't crack your top 30?

1 Day before the draft. Make your last picks.

I think Brown will be off the board so I will go with- 21. Jacob Evans 52. Billy Preston

Seth Davis has some interesting stuff on certain players that he gets from several anonymous scouts. Here is what he has for Troy Brown: Troy Brown, 6-7 freshman guard, Oregon. “One of the youngest players in the draft. Really, really versatile. He had kind of an underwhelming year at Oregon...

Windhorst: If LeBron leaves, the Cavs will make Love available for trade

Perhaps more likely than trading for Love would be to go out and get Trevor Ariza? He can guard multiple positions (2-4) which is exactly what DL loves. He can step out and hit the three. He is a free agent and would come much cheaper. It will be interesting to see how many teams go after him.

Player You Think is Drafted Higher Than Mocked

    Omari Spellman

The Jazz clearly see potential there. I am not sure I want to lose that just to move up a few spots. However, I do see the logic behind it since Rudy is firmly entrenched at the 5.

Yeah, I think he is going in the 15-20 range. Probably need to move up.

I would be surprised if we drafted him. We don't typically go after those 4 year kids under DL. The Jazz have recently implied that they would be looking for a riskier, high ceiling type of guy which makes more sense to me.

A full offseason with the team...next year is a big one for Jae. Isn't he also in a contract year next year?

Agreed! I would add "young" to that list. I don't think they have drafted an upperclassman under DL. So many prospects in that 6'3" range but I don't see us going there with what we already have. I would be fine with either Brown or Huerter.

What's the story on Billy Preston? He appears to ooze talent but is so far off the draft radar that he doesn't even show up on mocks. Maybe we could take a flyer on him at 52?

    Following Potential 2018 Draftees

The Jazz have moved out of their original draft position in 3 of the last 5 years. It certainly could happen again. The question is what do we have to offer besides the 21st pick in a potential trade? I don't see it happening this year unless somebody really likes Burks.

I might be nuts but I still like Spellman for the Jazz. With his skills, if he were 230lbs right now instead of 255lbs where would he be projected? He has already dropped something like 50 lbs. I know some like Cy aren't high on him but I wonder how good he could be with the right development...

Cy, Okobo has been projected anywhere from late first to early second round. Do you see him rising out of our range at 21? Would he be your #1 target right now?

If we end up picking at 21, which is not a given, I am leaning toward Evans, Huerter or KBD.

I don't think the Jazz can wait and hope to develop someone. They need someone ready to go now.

    Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I really don't expect the Jazz to be drafting at 21 if at all in the first round. Keep in mind the Jazz have not drafted where they were expected to in 3 of the last 5 years. The Jazz will take a hard look at their shortcomings vs the Rockets and act accordingly. I think it is pretty clear...

The Ultimate Best Elite World-Class Jazz Off-Season Guide

I really like your plan here. I do wonder about keeping Burks on the roster though. With O'Neale emerging I would expect the Jazz would try to unload him during the offseason. Perhaps the Jazz want to see what happens with Exum before pushing that further. Also, what are your thoughts on...
