    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

The choice isn't trade Donovan or keep him, the choice is trade him now or trade him next offseason. He's not going to stick around on a mediocre team.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I would guess the Jazz are happy enough to pay Ayton 4/104 or whatever the number is, but don't necessarily see him as a long-term part of the rebuild. Probably only want him if the asset cost is low since we're going to be 3-4 years away from even attempting to put a winning team together. If...

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

What you want to happen has no bearing on what does happen. I'll enjoy watching Gobert, and root for his success. I'll do the same for Mitchell. The Wolves may or may not be successful, but how I feel about it has nothing to do with it. Realistically, they'll probably be very good the first...

    Gobert to Minnesota

I think it's at least somewhat likely that the team will suck but Ayton will be more valuable individually than what we have to give up to get him. I don't mind just trying to rehab his value if the price is right.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Amazing to actually have some interesting young players on the roster again too. Lots of guys to kick tires on even if we can't pivot this into anything competitive in the near future.

Jesus, the player option seems so over the top.

    Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

Trading Rudy for a package not centered on rookie scale players and picks is just insane.

Because our goal should be to be bad at basketball right now.

Really depends on the protections on the later picks.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Bogey makes the most sense to trade because he doesn't fit a rebuilding or retooling timeline and he's gone after the season. Royce seems less urgent to move unless you're fully embracing a rebuild.

Spurs Doing What Jazz Should be Doing

I like getting the picks because it's unlikely you'll ever get more out of him than you can today. He's 25 already and probably not going to be hugely positive value on his next deal unless you really believe he's a perennial all-star. Feels exactly like selling high on Jrue (which worked out...

Or worse salary but future picks in addition. Would love to own Portland picks 2 or 3 years down the road.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I would believe three way with Portland where they get wings, we get draft capital, Toronto gets Rudy.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

They should definitely trade both of them this offseason. This iteration of the team isn't nearly talented enough to win, Rudy is a depreciating asset. There are a few big reasons they SHOULD trade Mitchell as well, although I doubt they will. - He has more value now than he will in the future...

    Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

It's such bad logic. There's so much more draft equity being gained by being bad than being mediocre.

    Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

It's insane to trade one and not both. The offers will not improve by the amount of equity you lose by not fully tanking.

    Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

It's only better to hold out if you'll actually get better offers. You torpedo your own ability to tank by not trading guys before the season. Huge failure if either Gobert or Mitchell are on the roster game one.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

You're short about 4 first round picks on getting SGA.

Wade “seriously concerned” about Mitchell’s desire to be in Utah

If they can build an actual contender, cool, maybe it's enough to overlook being in Utah. If not, he'll ask out and they'll trade him. It's not that surprising or unusual, this is how being in a less desirable market works.
