IMO about zero. We don't have good enough players or even prospects to allow any of them influence what we do with this pick. And the only player who is good enough to maybe influence something is seamless fit with pretty much any roster construction.

I still think it's better than average, not just better than last year's draft(which is pretty low bar). I like the 3-8 better than most year's 3-8 too... I have to go through some more players to be able to pass judgement on the rest of the lottery.

Anybody else notice that Edgecombe actually tries to finish with his left hand when driving left... hell... he even has some left handed floaters. There isn't a ton of craft from what I'm seeing but he does use both his hands on drives.

For the record I'm not out on Tre. I would be perfectly fine with us picking him at 5. I just don't like the overly rosey projections I seem to be seeing here, especially when they rely on him improving things that are hard(not impossible) to improve.

I mean... it's not impossible he improves. I just want us to know exactly what we are betting on if we pick him and not be delusional about the chance he improves in ways that would make him not just efficient scorer, but also primary offense initiator of a great offense.

Fair, but like KqWIN pointed out... he needs to improve a lot his ability to create advantages of the type that matter for his playmaking for others. Pretty much the only break down of the defense he can do now is the type that creates him a step back or pull up jumper.

We don't need just a scorer. We need offensive initiator, someone who can not just score for himself but create efficient offense for the whole team. Tre Johnson can barely create below average to average efficiency offense for himself. And gives you pretty much nothing else at average or above...

Some players try to manipulate their athleticism score by tanking their standing reach measurement. Wonder if it's the case here. He measured 36.5 max vert... does he look that athletic on tape? He looks pretty ground bound to me...
