I don’t know how to tell the cowards that this outcome is awesome.
One more year of this bull ****… pretty sure.
The universally good news: Lauri putting up crazy numbers and Keyonte’s leap looks real.
He has to choose to sign here over the Lakers. But yeah, sure, throw the offer. It’s only four years late, and the Jazz can’t offer more than the Lakers now, but how could we pass on those incredible John Collins seasons that all Jazz fans will cherish forever?
The question with this team is whether they are bad enough to secure a top-8 pick. Right now, the Jazz look like they’re headed for the worst-case scenario of coughing up the ~10th pick.
I don’t know how much people have analyzed the situation, but being .500 against bad or asleep teams does...
Just to elaborate:
-we can’t trade swaps directly
-for comparison, we had ~9 1sts from other teams in 2023, we now have ~4
-Lauri’s impact on winning is at this stage very possibly the difference between keeping a *TOP-8* pick or not which is worth calculating into the value, IMO.
We have...
They don’t have that many (tradable draft) assets at this point.
I wouldn’t trade Lauri for rubbish but wouldn’t be Gollum about it. It’s quite unlikely he’ll be here for a title run one way or another.
Lauri is a really good player having a great year so far. Given where we are and need to be...
Which is why they will be quite cozy to wait and see what happens. If they don’t get a great pick, fine. It is about the potential for something higher. Right now I’d wager it’s still comfortably in the top-20.
