Not to mention they also have a lot of young, promising PF's they want to develop.
This is what we were hoping the Jazz FO was saying.

The hard part about trading them is we can't take a long term contract back. So really we are just trying to get some draft picks.

Houston makes the most sense for Jefferson. He has a pre-existing relationship with McHale, and Houston's existing PF bigs are all undersized like Millsap (e.g., White, Morris, Patterson, etc.). Since Asik is not a traditional low post player and more of a defensive and active around the basket offensive player, Jefferson could play well as the PF along side him.

So we should just trade Al to Houston now.

    Why not?
When a weak Chitown trade rumor started over the summer, I brought up Jefferson or Millsap for Noah. Would you do that and try to trade the other as well or let the other one walk this summer? A Noah/Favors frontcourt with Kanter off the bench.

Millsap complements Kanter/Favors far better than Noah does, and it's entirely possible Millsap's next deal ends up being less lucrative than Noah's current deal.

True dat. I just love defensive-minded ballers.
