    Haha.

Sorry NBAnerd. I was just joking about these being real discussions. I have no connections. I was just messing around. I appreciate your input though, because I have been really curious how the extensions would work in these scenarios. I was fishing for this info.

So what you are saying is that it is highly unlikely we can trade Al or Paul? That just pisses me off more. The Jazz should have traded these guys last year then like all the "dumb" fans wanted.

With all the complexities of the cba, we probably wont get crap for Al or Paul. We essentially rented a couple of 8th seed door mats who took playing time from our future.

    Good job FO!!
I have a feeling that wih any Al trade the Jazz will have to include one of the c4 or a decent pick.

That's just depressing to think about.
Cy is a Baker, he doesn't work fast food. Don't make that mistake, he doesn't like it.

You definitely want to pick up gasol when lakers are having coaching problems. He's still a great player with 3-4 years to go. I'd say trade favors for a good pg or shooting guard

The goal is to win a championship. Not have a good/great team in the future that'll keep losing in the playoffs. gasol is the best talent which can be unleashed with good coaching. In te long run we are all dead. Think winning championship next year or even this year. Gasol will bring championship class to Utah. Other players will learn how to win

it's probably true that C4/picks come up in every conversation, but i'm not so sure we'll HAVE to give one up. it depends on who's doing whom the favor. for example, if we trade one of our "stars" for a young, low-salary guy and in exchange take back someone who's a little overpaid w/ 2-3 yrs left, then it's the other team that owes US a favor, not the other way around. by trading any of paul/al/mo for anybody who still has money owed after this year, we're essentially gifting the other team some financial freedom, so hopefully they're the ones having to sweeten the deal.
