    Keeping Johnson as a co-OC doesn't imply they saw him as a disaster so much as realizing he needs some time to grow into the position.

    Petrino, Saban, Spurrier etc all sucked in the NFL too.

    This is a very good signing for the Utah. He could help with recruiting, mentoring BJ (he needs it), and play-calling. Maybe he's way past his prime but it's a signing you have to be happy with for now.
