I can't believe Billy is down on Hayward. The guy has a lot of skills. The shot is getting deadly, he can create, he can pass, he can drive, and is good finishing on the break. The guy is amazing at video games. I'm sure he's even great in bed at this point. What's not to love?

I want Bledsoe. Id be excited if we made the trade. However, I would not be too disappointed if we didnt. Im not positive that Bledsoe is my top choice for our future PG.

Should we stand pat at the deadline, our depth chart looks (or should) like this the rest of the way:

    PG: Williams/Burks/Tinsley
    SG: Foye/Burks/Hayward
    SF: Hayward/Carroll/Marvin
    PF: Millsap/Favors/Marvin
    C: Jefferson/Kanter/Favors

That team should cruise to the playoffs. Come this offseason, Id like us to re-sign Sap, Mo, and Foye, and let Al walk. Then we package our two firsts and draft Burke or McCollum (my preference is McCollum).

Next season, our lineup looks like this:

    PG: Williams/McCollum
    SG: Burks/Foye
    SF: Hayward/Marvin
    PF: Millsap/Favors
    C: Favors/Kanter

thats a damn good top nine without ANY additional FA acquisitions or players traded for, which is incredibly unlikely given the cap flexibility well have after we let Al walk. Plus, wed open up lots of PT for every member of the big 4 and (hopefully) have our PG of the future learning behind Mo for a season or two.

Its not sexy, but its a pretty sound and executable plan to build towards the next few years. Id be really happy if this played itself out.

having said that, lets go get Bledsoe.
I really don't think that Favors is a natural Center. And we'd be using him wrong putting him there. Also, re signing Millsap means we probably can't resign the core four. once they hit their potential they will want a lot of money. I say get rid of Millsap and Jefferson. Preferably for a couple decent cheap backups. And of course, Bledsoe

Really? Billy only likes young athletes with upside. Feel for the game/bball IQ doesn't do anything for him for whatever reason. Dude was the biggest CJ supporter on the board for years. I'm surprised he's not a Sacramento Kings fan.

Damn.. looks like it's downhill from here guys...

@ESPNSteinLine Just under 20 hours left before trade deadline for stances to change, but mostly standing-pat rumbles coming from both Clipperland and Utah
Brace yourselves for the worst outcome.

Bledsoe won't want a lot of money?

If you can sign players to easily traded contracts, why dump them for nothing? Every fan banks on their young players turning into stars even though most don't.

That is far from the worst outcome.

The Los Angeles Clippers do not expect to make any trades before Thursday's NBA trade deadline, Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said on Wednesday. "We feel good with our team right now," Del Negro said. "Nothing's changed from that aspect. Nothing has been presented to any of us that makes sense to do anything different right now. We're always available and always looking to make our team as strong as possible but right now we feel comfortable with our team."

Of course not. I was meaning the worst outcome of the Bledsoe trade scenario.

We come out of this, we're still a strong team going forward. We have x2 draft picks, hopefully Burke is in their range. I like him a lot. So if we can't get Bledsoe - we go from Plan A to Plan A1.

Yes it would be a little disappointing but I could get back on the Burke bandwagon in less than 2 seconds.

I wonder what the hold up on LAC's end is. Do you think they're demanding Burks and/or Hayward as part of the deal? If so, they can go pound sand.

If it's a matter of 1st round picks...**** it, just do it. If we get Bledsoe, we don't need a 1st round pick this year as far as I'm concerned.
