No, the rule says: "If a player was injured for a majority of the season then they should be counted as if they were injured in this matchup."

It says nothing about how to treat a player who misses less than a majority of the season. That is based on overall performance. About half of which he was sitting on the bench. To ignore this would be ridiculous.

Majority is over half. Porz played over half the season

Gobert only missed 8 less games. Y your definition we can’t count Gobert either

You are missing the point. The rule only states what to do if a player misses more than half. It says nothing about what to do if they miss less than half. So it is up to us to decide whether to take this into account or not.

Oh, so I was right. Ellis is getting all the votes because he’s well liked and I’m not, because you are just trolling me, got it. I know you are smarter then that. This is the last you will here from me on the issue. Sad we can’t have an intelligent argument because kids rules rule the sandbox.

There is no reason to throw your self a pity party thee. Your team just isn't as good. It's a decent matchup but people voted for the better team.

It has nothing to do with liking or not liking someone.

I also don't count Porzingis for this or at least less. This is a playoffs matchup game. Porzingis had a season ending injury. Gobert was hurt early and came back from that injury, that's a big difference.

But even if I counted him, your team still isn't as good. So it doesn't really matter.

Also all these people who you claim didn't vote for you because they don't like you voted for you list round, that's why you're here idiot.

Lol the homerism is strong in this thread.
I don't even like Thee Jazz fan but he literally has Ellis beat on every position except the point guard spot (and the center spot if you count the bench).

His all bench is plain better than fan bench. Like seriously, that bench can pretty much play evenly with his starters, especially if Hood has no diarrhea day.

And you guys are overrating Capela on thee jazz fan team a lot. Neither Shroeder nor Booker are same level passers like Paul or Harden so it makes him very ineffective on a roster like this. Capela here is pretty much garbage cleaner, offensive rebounds and put backs man.

Parallel logic:

A: It is up to me whether I buy apples or oranges
B: From this I conclude that you buy oranges because you don't like me.

I like you Thee. Genuinely enjoy your commentary and insights.

I base my votes on what they do with the time that they did get to play.
Kawhi would rate very poorly for missing the whole year, but Gobert and Porzingis shouldn’t be downgraded too much because they both played well during the time they were healthy - which was for for the majority of the season.

Schroder starting hurts you, but PG13 is underrated. Still think my team is better, but not in a rout.

I think there needs to be more clarity around injuries and what it means.

It seems like some people think that because this is supposed to be a 'playoff type series', then if the players are injured at the start of the playoffs then they are out of the 'playoff type series'.

We need to make a distinction as to whether we are talking about the actual 'playoffs' or a theoretical 'playoff type series'? If we're talking about a theoretical 'playoff type series' then the timing of the injury shouldn't matter, i.e., if a player played say 80% of the season then I'd assume that player is relatively injury free for that year.

And hence he should count as being 'fit' for the theoretical 'playoff type series' we're considering.

Also teams sit a lot of quality but healthy players at the end of the season when they're tanking. Are we supposed to take those players out of consideration too?

It doesn't make any sense.
