A

My team is better constructed.

Team 1 is starting rookie Vince Carter and three year veteran AI. third year AI isn’t 10 year Championship level AI. Vince was pretty good as a rookie, but a rookie will do rookie things and hasn’t been through the wars yet, he also has Kobe off the bench, same deal, he isn’t the star yet and not battle tested, and hasn’t become the Kobe we all knew and feared yet. This is the guy airballing threes in the playoffs Kobe.

All my guys, from 1-10 are all battle tested, and been through all of the wars of the 80’ and 90’s. I’ve drafted star players who would fit together perfectly. Everyone of my players have shown to be unselfish on the floor,
including the most unselfish player of all time in John Stockton who holds the all time record in assists which is so gargantuan it will never come close to being broken. Simply put Stockton makes this team work. He is the ultimate conductor of an offense. I’ve also drafted the perfect team around him. I’ve got elite post play in Kareem and McHale slashers/Finishers in Mourning and Drexler. Great shooters in Richmond Ellis Kukoc and Chuck Person, and I’ve got defensive specialist in Rod Strickland who can come in and pester Iverson. There would be great team Chemistry on and off the court

As devastating a front line team 1 has, mine matches up very well. In the end My team is more versatile. I can go big and play devastating half court offense and still have at least two or three elite shooters. I can go small with four elite three point shooters with a devastating low post scorer in either Kareem, Zo or super small with McHale who was also a very good rim protector. My bigs who are elite low post scorers would have lots of room to operate. When the defense changes up to stop my low post offense that’s when the four other guys start getting wide open 3’s.

Hmm, team 3 lied about information in the writeup. I dont really like the dishonest writeup, but I guess there is a chance its an honest mistake. Vince Carter isnt a rookie in this he is in his second year as a 25 ppg scorer and shooting 40% from 3. Allen Iverson has 4 years in this competition and 28 ppg scorer that year.

This one is close but team 1 gets my vote because its slightly better despite not the best PG pairing.

Shaq/Malone >> Kareem/Mourning this is the difference for me. Kareem was still good in the 80s but he was on the decline. Mourning was a solid player but not in the same conversation as the other 3 bigs in this and no where close to Malone.

The other postions are pretty even. AI and Stockton are pretty even although Stockton is a better fit. Obviously Stockton is a much better passer but he isnt in the remote realm as a scorer. Although I would rather have an elite passer to combine with Malone and Shaq than an elite scorer. But AI can still drive and dish plus Malone and Shaq can rebound and demand attention unlike any player AI ever played with in this era.

Benches are pretty close.

Edit: Nevermind I took a minute to figure out who the teams are after I voted and it was not a honest mistake. This person knew it was a lie when they posted it.

Team 3 could easily bring Price in earlier in the game to be more of a facilitator and let AI run wild against the benches.

I really like both teams backup Centers. Those are both solid picks.

As a side note I really dislike when people list their players multiple times to make their bench look better.

Stockton will average 30 assists. Series over.

Although he might accidentally throw a few to Malone. Old habits.

As owner of the team I tied up Stockton taped his eyelids to stay open and showed nothing but highlights of Malone missing shot after shot for an entire day to rid him of that habit. Problem solved:p

I feel like I’ve built a great team both built for this era along with a great 90’s team feel. I can play a variety of styles. I’ve got three front court legends all elite offensive post players. I’ve got at least 4 elite 3pt shooters and can space the floor like the Red Sea parting. Most importantly I’ve got the elite of the elite floor generals leading and shaping these skilled legends to his every whim and they enjoy it Stockton unlocks everything, and I’ve made sure not to draft anyone that needs to dominate the ball other than Stockton, by far the most unselfish pg and most mistake free pg to ever play the game.

From the start I feel teams 1 and 3 were the best teams in this. I wouldn’t feel bad about losing to the combos of Shaq, Malone and AI OR that of Kareem Stockton and Clyde the glide.

You need to add Stockton and McHale into that equation. All Stockton did was amplify Malone’s greatness for years and would do the same for my three bigs. You are under appreciating Zo’s greatness he was a #1 option on offense and elite defender and rim protector during his prime, even his rookie year. He’s a legend as well, HOF, and no one competed harder, was built like a Mac truck and athletic, and played a similar style to Malone on offense. Difference is Malone had Stockton. Not trying to say he’s as good or better than Malone, but how much better would he be had Mourning had Stockton. Mourning was a better defender though.

Both teams are great. I’ve got nothing bad to say about Thee’s squad. This would definitely be a fun and exciting series to watch. I do think that the combo of Malone and Shaq is the ideal 90’s frontcourt, and no team in the competition would’ve been able to contain them.

Allen Iverson

Karl Malone

Shaquille O’Neale

You just said the same thing I did. Mourning isn't as good as Malone..

Hard to see anyone beating the front court of Jabbar, McHale and Zo, especially when you have the shooting of Ellis and Richmond to open things up.
