Here are some inferences from league wide metrics 1/8th of the way into the season

According to PER, we have 2 top 20 players on the roster

George Hill (#15) and Gordon Hayward (#18) are both above 25 PER for the first times in their careers. Only 10 players were able to post > 25 PER last year, and 8 of them were all-stars.

Rudy Gobert is a statistical leader in nearly every defensive category, as to be expected.

He is top 10 in rebounding (#8), top 5 in blocks (#4), top 10 eFg% (#8), top 10 dRtg(#9), top 5 dWS (#5) and top 5 defensive +/- (#4)

George Hill is REALLY good, will it last the season?

He is top 20 VORP (#17), top 10 Offensive +/- (#7), top 5 WS/min (#5), top 3 in oRtg (#3), top 5 eFG% (#5), top 5 True Shooting (#5), and top 15 PER (#15)

Gordon Hayward is also REALLY good

Hayward is 13th in ppg, 18th in PER, 11th in usage, 18th in WS/min, and #20 in Box Score +/-

if these numbers continue, and we win at the same clip we are now (7-4 = 64% win rate), we would be at around a 35-19 record at the All-Star break. IMO this would make it nearly impossible to leave 2 of these 3 off the all-star team. lets hope they keep it up!
