The article claims that Wiggins has been one of the worst players in basketball this season — period. They make this argument based off of statistics.
I'm usually very pro statistics, but this is such an asinine statement. The Timberwolves have one of the ****tiest rosters in the league and the 19 year old Wiggins is basically their first option. Out of the games I've watched, Wiggins is often double teamed due to the limited offensive options the Wolves have.
Although impossible to control for all variables, they should at least put the qualifier "statistically speaking" before claiming he has been one of the worst basketball players this season. Because if they had accounted for all variables, I'm pretty sure Wiggins would still be the best rookie of class 2014 so far.
