Let's face it, there just aren't very many good centers right now in the West. Gasol and Duncan do not play exclusively at Center like Al does, but they will probably both get spots and one of them will start. Either way, does Al deserve an All-Star bid?

I guess he could if Yao is out and Pau Gasol, and Duncan, and Bynum, and Nene, and Okafur, and Chandler, and Memphis Gasol, and Marcin Gortat, and David Lee, and Demarcus Cousins, and DeAndre Jordan. Then yes there is a chance he would be picked over Darco and whoever they have playing center in Portland these days.

It would make the season a success if Al gets in and Millsap and D-Will don't.

You can write him in as a starter.

No. Gasol, Duncan, Griffin, Love, Nowitzki are all bigs who are locks to be selected ahead of him. I'm probably forgetting a name or two as well.

If the Jazz has the Spurs record, then yes.

My point is that Big Al is the only player on that list that actually plays center for his team.

Do the spurs not play a center or is it 6'7" Blair?

Duncan and Gasol are much more capable centers than Jefferson, whether he plays that for us or not.

Gotta remember, Duncan is a power forward.

Sure he is usually the tallest Spur on the floor. He guards centers. He is guarded by centers. He rarely matches up against the other teams PF. He looks, acts, smells like, is as tall as, and plays the center position.

    But he is a forward.

Chandler is more deserving than Jefferson.

I agree, Jefferson is a good player but with his size and his point guard he should be doing much better than he is. If he does get the vote, he is undeserving of it.

LOL! I watched the game on League Pass with the Timberwolves announcers and it was funny 'cause they'd get so excited whenever Al Jeff did anything good - - and at one point when they listed the "keys to the game" or whatever they called it, they actually had him listed with Minnesota rather than Utah. Anyone else notice that?

Al scores more, rebounds about the same, and blocks more shots than Chandler. Why is Chandler better?

Because people don't watch him consistently. This board always has a hard on for guys on other teams and doesn't realize most of them have off nights too.
