Any other hunters on Jazzfanz?

I'm looking to take my second oldest out on his first hunt. I want to go to Montana or Wyoming because I've never been on hunts there and feel like it could be a great trip camping included. Anyone been out that way? I've been just about all over Utah. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We'll be hunting Bear or Elk.

Sound advice. I've bagged 5 black bears on various trips to Alaska and recently had my first grizzly stuffed up for our living room. Hunting for bear is the greatest rush I've experienced in my life. They are the most dangerous animals on earth as far as I'm concerned. My brother in-law only believes in bow hunting and claims to have stuck a 700-pounder up in Canada but didn't have his permit so he couldn't take it back with him. I think he's full of it because you need to have Robin Hood-like accuracy to take one of those mother****ers to the ground with a bow.

They are not to be taken lightly.

Bears scare me (i was fishing once and got about 10 feet from a large black bear) but what im really afraid of are sharks!... thank god those ******** have to stay in the water

The best hunting trip I ever went on was with my old man and uncle outside of London and we were pheasant hunting. Great, great trip.
