All humanity is One??! What a radical idea! Nobody has ever thought of that before.

I'm sorry, I missed the part where I indicated that this was an original concept or that this group invented the concept. As far as a radical idea I would agree with that. With the way things are going in this world I think it is a radical idea.

About every liberal or progressive believes in some variation of that concept. Either way, my neighbor is Bahai'i from Iran. Really nice guy.

I do not necessarily see anything that should be objectionable to conservatives on a basic level.

How? Conservatism is inherently isolationist. It is by definition attached to tradition. Those ideals are in fact in DIRECT opposition to humanism. You understand that if humanity is one, then you can't complain about immigration for example? It doesn't matter if they're taking your job, because there is no "they" or "you. Someone like Scat wouldn't spend 50 pages worth defending a guy who killed a teenager simply because he sees it as a race issue (oh sorry, having all the facts before jumping to conclusions). And so on and so forth.

I am sure some conservatives manage to be humanists, but I'd guess the percentage is small. I know religious people who are very much humanists, but they're not conservatives.

Again on a basic level. Seeing everyone as part of the human race instead of white, black, asian, latino...You can still be an freedom loving, capitalist supporting person who sees people that way. I was talking about that more than the one government type thing.

Dumbass, I spent 50 pages on because it was pissing me off that race was the main reason everyone else wanted to lynch Zimmerman. I didn't see it a racial issue at all.

I am not so sure you understand what conservatism and liberalism actually mean, at a basic level. This freedom loving **** is just a Foxnews soundbite. Liberals have the word liberty in their very title. Everyone claims to love freedom because it is an easy and simplistic sentiment. But freedom is not easy to define, and there is no consensus on its limits even among people of the same group. Capitalism is also not what I'm talking about. Most progressives are also capitalists. There may be some disagreements about roles of government and what not, but those are transient issues that groups adopt and drop every now and then.

At a very basic level, conservatism is opposed to change. It values tradition, and supports what's "tried and true". Those ideals, which are conservatism at its most basic, do not agree with humanism.

Dude you're still pissed that Scat single-handedly KO'd you and pretty much everyone else on the board minus a couple posters? Get over it already.

And it's completely laughable your "humanism" is anti-racism when you propagate race baiting every chance you get.

Right right. If a white kid was shot in a black neighborhood I'm sure you'd be all over it defending the shooters. Either way, I'm not interested in engaging you in another campaign of deception. Your mentality is as clear as day.

What the **** are you talking about? I hardly argued in that thread AT ALL. I didn't even really follow it. And when did I propagate race baiting exactly?

Is that what mentality mean? I know it has the word mental in it, so it seems like it's about intelligence, but it actually means something different! Through out my time here, I have yet to see you post anything worthwhile. Just cryptic insults and unfounded accusations. When you do try to make a point, it is always laughably shallow and pretentious. So either back up your claims or stop wasting my time.
