Davis declined to outline the terms of his preferred contract in length and dollar amount. But a league source familiar with his thinking said he will seek a two or three-year deal worth $7-8 million a year, or a one-year deal worth $9-10 million.

I don't think he is worth or will get the amount he is seeking, but he showed last season that he is valuable 3rd/4th big who can play both 4 and 5. Since he made about $1m last season, something in the $5m range based on his play would be fair (similar to the previous Booker deal). Depending on the draft and if Utah picks up option on Booker, should Ed Davis be someone the Jazz should consider?

I'd be down with that. 3rd big wouldn't be too bad.

Soft as charmin, can't play down low. Skill level not high enough to be a good power forward in the modern NBA. Can't stick with quick bigs and guards on the perimeter.
Worth the mini MLE, not a single dollar more than that. And for our team he's worth a wet handshake that sends him back to the airport.

To add to this, 48% free throw shooter last season. Not sure if its a big concern for a 3rd big or not but definitely something to note.
