The flagrant foul charged to Chandler on Lebron was complete horse ****. Chandler fouled him but in no way shape or form should that be a Flagrant. And the ref who originally called it called a flagrant 2. This coming not long after Lebron flopped his way into another BS call.

I really hate NBA officials. The worst officials in any sport anywhere.

I absolutely hate the Heat! Watching them today had even made this hatred much deeper. LeBron James is taking flopping to a new level out there. He looks like he has some sort of medical condition that whenever anyone touches him his body jolts. I actually gained more respect for Carmelo Anthony today because he is not trying to out-flop Prince James, but rather he is trying to battle and play basketball--what a concept. Never, never, thought I would say that about Carmelo. The refs are ridiculous and dictate so much of the game almost always for the big names. The free-throw discrepancy is hilarious. This is no longer a sport; it's a theatrical production, with LeBron winning an Oscar.

Miami sure got all the calls until the score got ridiculous, and LeBron flopped a ton.

That was a hard shot by Chandler, not the worst call of the game by a long shot.

....I thought he made the right call. It was definetly a flagrant foul, designed to inflict injury! He led with his shoulder on that pick right near Lebron's head! Now, Lebron made it seem like a flagrant 2 when he hit the deck....but it was definetly a flagrant 1. Somebody is going to get hurt in this series and it won't be a knee or an ankle. The Knicks team is loaded with a bunch of punks. When the ship starts sinking, they're going to start to "cap" people left and right!

I haven't watched a huge amount of their games, but from what I've seen I don't see Miami as being any less dirty than New York, and the amount of extra points that LeBron and Wade get by flopping is disgusting. Anything they ever win would be tainted by their flopping in my book.

And i thought you were a fan of old school basketball? That was nothing more than a hard pick. Was it a foul? Yes. It's the type of foul that used to be used as a message. No way in hell is it flagrant with your hands at your side. He did not punch him, did not elbow him. Did nothing but set an illegal screen. James almost hurt himself with the flop moreso than did the foul.

There is a difference between a hard, legal pick and what Chandler did.

Flagrant 1 is defined as unnecessary and excessive contact. The whiplash (which I think was legitimate) James got in his neck probably made it seem like there was direct head contact, but it was just whiplash from the surprise of impact. Chandler

...and it was a flagrant 1 foul! You can't keep letting that type of stuff go on without it escalating into more and more physical play that detracts from the game and causes fights!

What was flagrant about it? He set a pick. A hard pick. But he did not throw elbows. He did not throw a bunch. He did not hit the guy in the head. He did nothing to warrant a flagrant. Nothing. I don't even see how it could be argued a flagrant. I am on the border about whether it is even a foul on chandler. He leaned into him. That is the only reason that it is even an offensive foul.

If Chandler does not lean forward James still has the whiplash and it's a completely legal pick.

It wasn't a pick. The replay showed him still moving as he hit Lebron and him extending both his forearms into the upper back of Lebron. It was clearly a message foul because they were embarrassing the Knicks. It was dirty and intentional. The refs did the right thing in calling a flagrant 1 and showing they aren't going to tolerate the Knicks trying to hurt the Heat just because they are getting embarrassed

For once I agree with CJ.

I hate to pile on, but I also disagree. That wasn't a pick, so much as a football block. He put his arms up and drove forward right before contact. Yes, in the 90's that's nothing more than a hard pick, but in today's NBA, that's a flagrant. Saying you're not sure it's even a foul shows a bit of bias, IMO. I don't know if you've seen the replay of that foul, but if you haven't, I could understand why you believe what you do. It didn't look that bad to me until I saw the replay. It was a football block on a guy who couldn't see it coming. If Chandler did that to a Jazz player, I'd want his ass tossed.

I'll have to look up the replay. I have not seen it. Just saw it live in the game.
