Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Traore seems very streaky, has massive games or complete stinkers. Could be level of competition changes, but IIRC some of his massive games came in the French playoffs last year. He was my biggest hope for a second #1 level prospect, but he needs to find some more consistency. It's Flagg and then everyone else for me right now.

Not sure, but since I've been following him he's had about 5 great stats games and one stinker.

According to this, Traore just scored 27 with 5 assists, 2 steals, and 0 turnovers.

OK, here is a video of the performance. This video is actually really good because it shows both the makes and misses. It also highlights a few defensive plays at the end.

Traore had a 25/4/7 game last year in the French playoffs that really had me excited. He had only turned 18 nine days prior. It's not Luka level, but that kind of production at that age/level of competition is fairly eye opening.

I think Edgecombe looks like a better prospect than Bailey at the moment. Bailey seems to lack the ability to drive and change direction consistently with a low center of gravity, which is likely contributing to his settling for tough jumpers. Andrew Wiggins had this issue. Bailey might need to play as a floor-spacer who adds value by attacking seams and playing as a secondary scorer. Whereas, Edgecombe is explosive off the dribble and has the potential to be a real three-level guy. He's going to beat defenders and create space for himself.

Coming back to this, if Bailey shoots the ball exceptionally well, he could probably be a team’s primary scorer, see Kevin Durant. He’d just need to play with a high-level, multi-talented guard who can set him up well. I just don’t yet see him as a guy whom teams can consistently run their offense through unless he shows he can handle, pass and create advantages.

Lets wait til he actually playa

The Uber talented player who looks like he settles too much vs inferior competition is a pretty common thing. Doesn't mean it's who he is.
