I've been a longtime lurker on here, and a dedicated Jazz fan for even longer. One thing that needs to be made totally clear to everyone is that this team will never win anything consequential as long as Tyrone Corbin is the head coach.

I was excited when he took over to see what a young-ish former player, who seemingly had players' respect, could bring to the sidelines. What all of us have seen from day one through last night's embarrassing loss, and every game he remains, is the only thing we can count on Tyrone Corbin bringing to the sidelines every night is inexperience and a laughable decision making process.

Getting into X's and O's is useless when the head coach plays 10 to 11 guys equally. I began to be like "WTF???" midway through the preseason where it looked like he just played everyone 20 minutes every game. I couldn't figure out why he hadn't started to allocate more minutes to the main guys (whoever he decided would be the main rotation players) I felt there was no way an NBA coach actually thinks playing so many guys equal minutes would be effective.

I don't even give a hoot WHICH five to seven guys he chooses, as long as they have more minutes then everyone else to establish a chemistry and rhythm in the game. Corbin actually disables any of the players from getting in one of those zones we see several players get into when they go off for 30+ points. We can all talk until we're blue in the face on which guys deserve the most PT, but even if we all agreed on that it wouldn't matter because of how ineffective and awful Corbin has been managing the rotation.

The Utah Jazz need to fire him if they are serious about winning. They have all the ingredients to be great this year, just no bleeping chef. You send Corbin into a kitchen with a 16 oz. bone-in ribeye, green beans, some mashed potatoes and every seasoning in the book in his kitchen, he'll come out with PB & J.

Send Corbin's ass Packing. I'm getting sick of this ****.

If he's indeed just using this first chunk of the season as a prolonged preseason and tryout in order to figure out a smaller rotation, he should still be fired for selling out the fans.

I have zero coaching experience and I believe I'd be a better coach than Corbin sometimes.. especially in late game situations where the score is close. I just don't understand his coaching philosophy. It's dumb.

I like this part. Apparently some people loves humble tastes like PB & J.

I'm fine with equal min but when someone isn't playing up to snuff like big al last game on the defensive end make a substitution defense for offense

I don't know why Jazz management thinks Corbin is worth keeping around. On offense he said he's going to have the Jazz run more but that hasn't happened - he's basically running a cheap imitation of Jerry Sloan's X's and O's. On defense he said we were going to make guarding the perimeter a priority but that hasn't happened either - last season we were awful at guarding the 3 and this season we're also off to a terrible start.

He allocates minutes solely based off of experience, which led to bizarre things like Raja Bell, CJ Miles, and Josh Howard getting all of the SG/SF minutes while the more talented Alec Burks and Gordon Hayward rot on the bench. I'm convinced that we wouldn't have made the playoffs last year if it weren't for Bell, Miles, and Howard all getting injured - those all forced Corbin to play the younger players because he had no choice. And even then what does Corbin do when Howard comes back? Immediately gives him heavy minutes and completely abandons our Millsap-Favors-Jefferson lineup that had been incredibly successful.

His allocation of minutes is also likely stunting the development of our young talent and simultaneously pissing them off. You can make the argument that we're winning more currently because of it, but I don't buy it. Our bench has consistently gotten us back into games where the starters put us in a hole. In games where Al Jefferson was injured and Favors/Kanter have actually been able to play more minutes, we have looked terrific. Hell, as just one example of many when Al Jefferson was out and we played @ LA we became the 1st team in the West last year to beat the Lakers at Staples.

    tl;dr summary - Fire Corbin

I think Corbin is an okay coach. he might be average, but perhaps not more than that. I don't think is below average though. The one thing that made no sense to me last night was why he didn't make the defensive substituion by bringing favors in the game for jefferson. Had Favors been in the game, i think he might have been able to block Vasquez's go ahead bucket, or even alter it, which would have likely resulted in a miss. I wish Corbin would just make offensive and defensive substitutions.

Go swallow a string of firecrackers. 2 games, new players, he handled the last 2.5 minutes pretty well last night & gave the Jazz a shot at winning.

It's not atypical for people to get angry and react irrationally to thing they don't understand (and therefore scare them like a monster in every young child's closet).

Blame Foye (it was Foye, right?) for taking a quick shot after an enormous offensive rebound with 19s left if you want to blame anyone. That was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen happen in a basketball game. Or, at least the stupidest thing I've seen in a basketball game this season.

They didn't run in that first game? Humm, wonder what game I was watching because I saw a team running constantly and completely killing it.

I mainly blame not subbing offense for defense near the end of the game.... that is coaching that you learn in jr jazz.

They were trying to run last night but it's hard to run when you're out of rhythm and just causing turnovers and bad shots. Did you see them intentionally slowing down and setting up for half court offense when they had opportunities to run? If the defense is already back, and the NO defense was getting back like mofos last night, you can't really run, now can you, son?

So all Corbin has taught the Jazz offense is how to run against terrible defenses.

    Gotcha.

Sure, and not to run when the defense is already back. Stop being a prick.
