What's new

Kelenna Azubuike waived by Cavs

Yeah, lets get that guy who got beat out by CJ Miles for a roster spot.

I hear ya, but Kel isn't a knucklehead chucker and doesn't need big minutes. I'd rather have efficient Kel playing 5 minutes per game than CJ chucking shots for 20.

He's barely played the last couple years - word is his knee is shot.

Shame, looks like he would have had a decent career.

Yeah, obviously this is the concern. He played 14 minutes in the first preseason game.. made 2 of 3 fg's and 2 of 2 ft's .. 3 rebounds a steal. Would like to know how the knee is ..

You talk to him still?

No. I actually haven't spoken to Kel since his first year of summer league. Nice guy, really. He was another of those guys with near limitless upside but NO killer instinct. Not lazy, just didn't want it enough, or whatever.

Edit: Btw, he told me had it not been for Doc Rivers (which coached his SL team that year), he would have never made the NBA. He said Doc sat him down and explained the real urgency to find the man inside.

Used to be an up and comer, doesn't have the goods anymore. Injuries are sad, but this guy isn't going to improve an NBA team at this point.

I hope Dennis Lindsey is paying attention:

Tom Ziller @teamziller Adding insult to injury, Cavs misspell the hell out of Kelenna Azubuike's name in announcing he'd been waived: on.nba.com/PxhfGQ

Rodger Braile must go.

At this point having a funny guy with no legs is worth more than Roger Braille. At least he would keep the players laughing and loose.

Braille contributes nothing and is still actively harming the Jazz. He is taking away a roster spot that the Jazz could use, if the wanted, to better the roster.

What is the latest on Braile?

The latest I've seen anywhere is just that he and the Jazz decided to have him stay away from camp. I have no idea if they've made any progress. My guess is that if he's still on the roster and the Jazz really want to sign someone, they'll waive Bell and give him the full amount of his contract.
