It’s fitting that live sports in the United States would resume in the Beehive state after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert’s positive coronavirus test in Oklahoma City was the beginning of the shut down of all sports that started on March 12.

The Supercross event took place at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Sunday without fans and with limited officials from the organization that were in attendance. After working alongside the Utah Sports Commission and Governor Gary Herbert’s office, Supercross received the “green light” to complete its championship run with seven made-for-TV races that will run through June 21.

The Supercross event can be seen on KSL 5 TV. The full television schedule for Supercross through June 21 can be found, here.

NWSL Starting Season In Utah

The state of Utah is also a big reason why the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) will start their season with every team in the league coming to Utah to play in a tournament.

The 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup will be played and hosted in Salt Lake City starting on June 27th. The tournament will consist of 25 games.

All nine NWSL clubs will train at the Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman as well as the American First Credit Union field in Sandy. Matches will be predominantly played at Zions Bank Stadium, however, the semifinals and final will be played at Rio Tinto Stadium.
