I wasn't overjoyed when the Jazz picked him at 9 a couple of years ago. Let's face it: outside of Kevin Love, there haven't been a ton of 6'8"+ white American rock stars in the NBA in the last 20 years. I didn't see it then, and I only started to see it last year, but I definitely see it now: Gordon is steadily improving into a very good basketball player.
I have seen marked improvement just in this season alone and I like the stat stuffer lines he's been putting up lately. He's unselfish, he's a great team guy, his 3-pt shot is coming along, he doesn't complain about getting hacked, his rapidly improving defense is a testament to his abundant effort, and he even keeps his head when getting egregiously elbowed by Aaron Afflalo. The fact that he was even elbowed like that shows that he's a harassing defender.
He works extremely hard and I want him to stick long term. He is Utah Jazz basketball.
