Sophomores shine as Jazz complete the comeback on Philly

The Utah Jazz closed out the Salt Lake Summer League by beating the Philadelphia 76ers 93-85. After being down 10 at the half, the Jazz sophomores woke up and decided to end the night on a high. The entertaining summer league team continued to excite in the second half as high-flying alley-oops, big-time dunks, and deep shots were all coming aplenty.

Keyonte George led the way with 31 points on just 15 shots. He continued his reign at the free-throw line, shooting 11-12 from the line. Keyonte wasn’t the only sophomore on a mission. Taylor Hendricks had a solid 18 points and shot 4-6 from deep while showcasing his defense with 3 blocks. Sophomore Brice Sensabaugh also contributed with another solid showing, having 17 points.

The Jazz summer league team is exciting—maybe a bit too exciting for what the Jazz are trying to accomplish. After their impressive outings, I assume Keyonte and Taylor will be rested for the rest of the summer league. I’d bet the Jazz will now look to get their young talent in as many minutes as possible.
