Taylor Hendricks injury thread

Luckily it seems as though bones heal better than tendons and ligaments. Gruesome, but something he can recover from.

I think Juzang will get the minutes once he comes back. Wouldn’t mind seeing those minutes split with Flip.
Too soon to say. Guarantee that when you have the break and sprain in that location there will be damage to the tendons and ligaments, the question is to what extent.

I'm sure he'll get back on the court but he may never be 100%. Hope for the best.

Such a freak accident. I don't understand how you break a bone and dislocate an ankle in a non-contact situation like that. Didn't even seem like a violent movement at all.
Sometimes you just get horrible luck with injury mechanisms. In this case It looked like he slipped, lost balance, then fell over his own foot.

Yeah, in that sense I'm kinda a bit more worried about the whole ankle dislocation. It's complicated because there could be so much different ways that injuries can play out (different ligaments and tissues damaged, different bones to break, different points of fracture in the same bone, etc). Can only hope for the best of his recovery.

Hopefully this isn't the Jazz team physicians first rodeo with this type of injury.

That is the most bizarre injury I have ever seen. He just did a basic stop, caught his foot on the ground, and just snapped one of the thickest bones in the body? Wow. Does he have a mineral defficiency? Unbelievable. Seriously feel bad for the guy.
Just a glitch in the system at the wrong time.

Shades of when Paul George broke his leg.

He had a great career after it though so here’s hoping Hendricks can do the same.

Thoughts and prayers.

Right, extremely unfortunate injury.
