You're putting the cart before the horse here, but I think any team that drafts VW should keep him on a minutes restriction and play him at the 4. The key is his physical development and making sure he has the strength and balance to survive an NBA season.
You play him the same way you'd play Chet Holmgren, Jonathan Isaac or Kristaps Porzingis. You can run him in some pick-and-rolls. You can run him off the baseline or the dunker's spot near the rim. You can let him create with the ball in his hands at the top of the circle like the Mavs used to do with Dirk Nowitzki. Or you can play him on the wing and let him space the floor. I just wouldn't make him the guy who has to set screens or bang down low for a while. You don't need to run much action for him because he can shoot over anyone in virtually any situation anyway and he can create for himself with a couple dribbles.

I'd put him next to a center until his body filled out. I'd probably keep him next to a 5 most of his minutes.
