Long read but what an eye opener. Crazy to think that such a rich country can mistreat migrant workers like that. As much as I love soccer I think boycotting this dirty world cup and Qatar in general would be a way to go.

Why not go there's a couple of hundred dead fans in each stadium? These are the sort of conditions that most workers face in the middle east, most are from places like Pakistan and are treated no better than slaves, probably worse cause slaves owners supposedly had customary obligations for the welfare of their slaves. One of the guys i work with goes on about how great Dubai is, I tell him that he is ignoring the great misery and injustice the place is built on, i might as well be speaking Spanish to him.
