I've always wondered how this doesn't happen more often. The way these stages have to travel with the fair and/or performer, I can't imagine the construction is all that great. They have to be built in a manner that allows for easy set-up and take down. It would be very easy to cut a few corners or miss a few bolts. Add that to a wind if it's outside and look out below.

Ugh, that is terrible. I feel bad for the people and the families that were killed and injured, but I feel just as bad for the people who were right up close when it happened. Having been up close to a tragedy where people have been killed, I can say that those memories and images are burned into your brain forever, and they don't ease up over time. I really wish I hadn't watched that video, actually.
It happened recently in Belgium too. Basically, if it is storming outside, it's a safe bet not to play on a made that day stage.
