...he's not seriously thinking of coaching these knot-heads again, is he??? He can't possibly be tired of playing with his tractors and plowing fields already, can he? He's way too old for this type of abuse, isn't he? He can't possibly be enamored with "unwatchable" basketball, could he? Is he being paid by the Jazz front office to be seen at the arena or something?

He is bored and tired of being yelled at by the wife, I assume!

Truth is he married a Herriman girl so he's gotta be in Utah. And what else you going to do in Utah in the winter? A guy can only go to the Lazy Dog so many times a before that becomes a bore.

Sloan was involved with the organization for over two decades and is close to the Miller family. Simply put, if he wanted to drive a John Deere tractor around ESA during half time, they'd find some way to do it. Like him or not, he's pretty much earned that right.

    You know he misses it.

Winter time doesn't allow much farm work. He seems like someone who can't sit still, and swing on the porch all day.
He has to be doing something. Holding onto to something like that with so much power must have it's withdrawls. See About Schmidt.

If I remember right, his new wife has a teenage son who would be in school right now, so they probably spend most of the time here. Why not go to the game?

Fixed to fit a CJ thread.

Agreed, except he looks like he's going to fall asleep in the stands.

He was at the BYU vs VT game with Johnson and KOC last week. Not that it matter all that much but I guess maybe he likes watching games.

...he might not be able to use them in the winter time, but he can "work" on them! Change the oil, other fluids, polish anything that can be polished, "Armor-all" the tires and all other rubber pieces, re-read the manual, google search new ideas on planting and plowing, etc. etc. etc. It's got to be better than watching this Jazz team or any other for that matter!!!

...well, that makes sense! Sloan would lose his mind if he actually concentrated on how the Jazz are running their offense and playing defense these days! Does he wear dark glasses as well?

Maaaaaybe he will be hired as a consultant for the Jazz. Is this ok? Do we want this? Would he cause problems like Jordan does when he doesn't agree with the something?
