For those of you who haven't seen the official point guard thread, Teague is one or the most eligible PG's for the Jazz to get. Pau Gasol is slumping but could be very good at the center position. Just curious to see how high Jazzfanz value our guys.

Yes. We'd get a pg and could live with Gasol for a year and a half, maybe even parlay him into something next season.

This is light years away from Jeff Teague as you said. Atlanta would have to buy into Jefferson, Horford, Smith, Marrow, and Harris to start. It would be arguably the best starting three (C, PF, SF) in the league with Horford and Smith's defensive prowess. Point is, it's not that far of a stretch. I would do it, just because, I'm sick of the make-up of this team.

Pau would boob the whole time, Teague would be nice, Petro is tall, and D Steve is handicapped. I'd probably do it just to mix things up though.

LA makes their crap bench deep in a hurry while probably not getting back equal value for Pau. Probably good win now strategy from their pov.

I don't care if it makes this Jazz team worse as that means better draft picks. The possibility of Teague giving 3-4 solid years is intriguing enough that I'd probably make the trade now and think about it later. Pau could be moved onto a better fit for his age for another piece, and is way more coveted than Jefferson (hello Houston).

Atlanta gets a rental on Jefferson and finally gets to try the Al Horford as not a 5 experiment, and could turn Smoove into a nice 1,2, or 3. I still wonder if they're giving up too much to get a whole lot of salary back.
