Would you trade Jefferson or Millsap for Jrue Holiday?

Saw some sixer fans post this since Holiday and Turner both need the ball Sixers wants to trade one of them..

I like Holiday a lot and it would allow us to draft bpa in both spots[if we have best case scenario and get both picks] and try to hit a homerun rather then reach for a pg because its a need..

I would seriously think about it with Millsap. I would trade Jefferson before they finished asking (and since they need something resembling a C more, it also makes more sense for them in that regard).

I'm pretty meh on Jrue Holiday. He hardly ever gets to the FT line, and doesn't shoot a high %. Also seems to have regressed since his breakout year last season.

I don't disagree, but when you can shore up a position of weakness going forward while jettisoning a player that's the primary roadblock to moving forward, it's something that changes the equation fundamentally.

Devin Harris is actually having a better year than Holiday, despite having a terrible start and playing 7 less MPG. Holiday is only 21 though, so he does have a lot of room for potential improvement. I would rather take a risk by trying out Lillard or Marshall though.

Yeah, I wouldn't object to it if that was the best we could do. I doubt this trade is on the table though because Holiday is 21 and still on a rookie contract, so he couldn't traded straight up for either player.

I don't know what Holiday's contract is like and am not too familiar with him, but Al has to be moved. Not for any reason other than next year's big man rotation is going to look exactly the same as this year's, which a few people here may defend for some intellectual reason.

Harris has dramatically improved, but he's still basically 9 years older than The Four. What about Holiday and then Lillard or Marshall backing him up (and competing for the spot)?

Yeah, I guess that would work/be interesting. We would have to find some way to move Harris, which may not be to hard with the way he has been playing lately.

FYI, I did some stuff on trade machine. Nothing works besides Thaddeus Young and Jrue Holiday for Millsap (unless y'all want Iggy's contract). So the only possible scenario I could see would be, Sap + GS 1st rounder for Young + Holiday.

Depth Chart would look like

Holiday - Tinsley - Watson
Hayward - Bell -
Young -
Favors - Kanter
Jefferson - Kanter

Add in our draft pick (if we miss playoffs) and whatever you can get for Harris.

Holiday would come off his rookie contract after the season though, so we would have to decide to pay him before our picks, which could be bad. Just drafting Lillard or Marshall would give us 4 years of a rookie contract, compared to 1 with Holiday.

Did Burks die? I can't believe that I haven't heard anything about that!

I'd rather get a pick for Jefferson or move our pick up for him. Plus I wouldn't trade Milsap for a whole lot. He can be a 6th man on a championship team. He's clutch as hell too.

Harris is much older and injury prone. I'm not necessarily a Holiday fan, but I think this is worth looking at. Would Marshall be available when we draft? If so, I would go for him. He's a distributor (his assist numbers are pretty gaudy for college), which is what I think we need, or at least what I want.

Holiday is a career 37% 3 pt shooter.

IMO he is a very good defensive player too.

According to Draftexpress's measurements

He is 6'4.25" and was 199 lbs as a rookie. He has a standing reach 8' 4.75".

He is taller and longer than Deron Williams. He is big enough to play some SG.

The deals as they have been described don't seem to make a lot of sense. Maybe some kind of three way deal could be worked out.

I would make a trade for Holiday even if it meant losing Millsap. If we could do it for Jefferson then we would be stealing Holiday away.

Holiday with Marshall backing him up (and maybe simply splitting time at the position eventually?) sounds pretty rad to me.

Unfortunately for us, they are over the cap. Sap + GS pick sounds heavy and I don't think the Sixers want to part with Young and I don't know that I'd want him.

Jefferson could look really good for that team though. What they are missing is somebody that can reliably create a shot late in the clock. That's AJ to a T. Also if there is a coach in the league that can convince Al that he can trust his teammates to rotate behind him it might be Collins. That could be a great situation for him.

Great fit play wise, but terrible fit salary wise.
