2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Who’s the GG Jackson of this draft?

Depends on what aspect of GG Jackson you're referring to. You mean who is the 18 y.o. who took lumps this year because he's young? Or, who is the 6'9" wing who can create looks for himself off the dribble? Or, who is just immature?

Dink Pate is the highly-rated recruit who tried to jump a class, but got denied. Ron Holland is an 18 y.o. whose inefficiency makes him look borderline undraftable, but he's still a good prospect. Cody Williams is the long wing who can create off the dribble, but had a mixed freshman season.

I’m talking about the guy we’ve all wanted to draft but no teams did and he made us all regretted it.

GG should have been drafted in the later part of the lottery last year. He took a big nosedive due to his interviews and demeanor in workouts. I don't think there's really a guy like that this year.

Could someone enlighten me on Holland’s shooting form?

Anyone else think his release point is too low for the big league?

I ask cos it seems like he’s a lock at #10 from numerous mocks I’ve recently perused.

Based on last year, I'm assuming we'll target younger players again.

I'd prefer Cody Williams or Ron Holland at #10 get another athletic wing to pair with Hendricks please Danny GOAT

Utah seems to have a really good Klutch relationship, so I wouldnt be shocked if Rich Paul sought the Jazz out as a Bronny landing spot. The Jazz mark a lot of boxes to make it a good destination for Bronny.

I think #32 is pretty early for Bronny. What do you and others think? I was thinking 50s or a training camp invite.

So what's the deal with ESPN showing full screen shots of the panel instead of the game? Who tf cares about seeing the panel talk?????

I'll put it this way. I don't think Bronny is the 32nd best prospect in the draft, but I also don't think drafting him at 32 would be a problem, regardless of who his Dad is.

We probably don't want to have 3 rookies in the rotation next year and so if we are keeping all of our picks we are likely looking at 32 as an opportunity to draft and stash, or send someone to the G-League.

Desert News says they are working scenarios to not have all three picks. Remove protections off of the 2027 pick can only be done with the Jazz so maybe there is something there. I think removing protections is worth value wise an average 1st round pick. It could be Clarkson + Bronny for the 2027 pick + whomever + maybe a later 2nd.

Or it could be part of the crazy Lauri proposal.

Lauri
2024 32nd pick
Future 2nd rounder

Lakers 2024 17th pick
Removal of 2027 (protections) - I value this the equivalent of an additional pick.
2029 pick
2031 pick
A swap
2 second rounders.
Austin Reeves.

That would be having 3 unprotected Laker picks post Lebron and a swap.

Then you complete the tear down by trading Kessler + Kira to the Suns for their unprotected pick.
