Reviewing the first night of the Utah Jazz’s free agency.

Sometimes it’s better just to get a good night’s rest and see where the chips fall in the morning. Dennis Lindsey joined “The Big Show” on Friday afternoon to provide the “Utah Jazz Insider Report” as the general manager and company was putting the finishing touches on their pitches for free agents, including Derrick Favors, Dante Exum, and Raul Neto.

"We had a good year, and our 3 incumbent free agents, for lack of a better description, had a lot to do with that, especially when healthy."

— Austin Horton (@austinhorton) June 29, 2018

"Look, we win a lot of games on the value and production that Rudy and Derrick give us at the five. It's not only Rudy but the other 14 minutes Derrick gives us where we're holding leads or taking leads." -DL

Other dates for Jazz player contracts:
Thabo- July 1, DL says "he's healthy and doing well"
Jerebko and Udoh- July 9th

Lindsey: "We have some optionality. We're going through all those iterations and we will hold those conversations close to the vest."

— Austin Horton (@austinhorton) June 29, 2018

What Lindsey wants to see out of his team at summer league(s):

"As always play Utah Jazz basketball. Defend great, share the ball, put the team first. There's a lot of ways you can make the Utah Jazz a better team."

"It doesn't take a trained eye to see his body has developed, and he's kept his speed post ACL surgery. So we're excited about him and the meeting we're going to have with him, and we're confident in our projections that he's going to be a very good NBA player." -DL...

SALT LAKE CITY — Grayson Allen arrived in Salt Lake City early Wednesday after spending nearly a week in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida.

His phone has been ringing off the hook for the past six days since being taken No. 21 in the NBA Draft, from family, friends, former coaches and peers wishing him the best of luck as a member of the Jazz.

"It took me a couple days to reply back to everyone but it's just a good feeling to feel all the support from everyone around you," Allen admitted.
