DL and Snyder are temporing expectations of playoffs next year a bit. That expectations are high but they are trying to be realistic as well. Talking about timelines and player development.

DL talking about heavy discussions about the team among coaches and FO. The chemistry of the group and how they will look at everything. Even if that means throwing everything at one new guy, if it's the right guy.

DL mentions considering trading the pick or moving up. Basically so far they are saying that anything is posible and they are going to look long and hard at everything.
 
Lindsey on 1280 right now.


We don't take the character of this group lightly. It would have to be the right person to fit into this group. We like this group. Our best arc of improvement is internal.

We will decide if a late lottery pick is the right thing to do, or if turning that into a long term gamble is best.

We have a lot of players with upside, including Rudy. Rudy has a lot of competiveness, it is our job to channel that to help him get better.

Rudy is diligent and committed in the weight room.

Rudy is skilled, but erratic at times. We can focus on his passing, and offense. He is like a middle linebacker, he needs to communicate better.
 
Interesting that both DL and QS have confirmed that Gordon Hayward is changing sports a la Michael Jordan:

Lindsey keeps mentioning that everyone wants a john Stockton like point gaurd. He is almost apologetic that the offense runs through the wings.

I don't get it, who keeps telling him we (the fans) want a pg like John. There is nobody like John. The game has changed. I like winning. Let's move on.
 
Talking about the PG position.

That production must improve but that they expect it to just in house. That the ball handling wings it alleviates some of that problem. That the PGs are humble.

DL says one os Ingles best qualities is as a ball mover. Basically they are high on his facilitation.
 
Not a surprise that the first PG Lindsey begins to talk about, with a smile on his face, and the one he praises the most effusively is Dante. Says he appreciated how Dante wasn't a net negative and didn't hold the team back.

We don't feel pressure to add a veteran just to make the minimum salary, It is better to spend wisely than than to just spend.

We will make some mistakes on free agents, and draft picks or even trades. But we will build it so we can recover from those things.

Can you imagine if Hayward somehow comes next season with improvement?

I honestly don't even know how he could possibly improve. This was a spectacular, well-rounded season for him. Man, the dude is ****ing hungry.
