The draft thread is a discussion of who we want the jazz to pick. This is a mock draft discussion centered around who we think every team should take. Two completely different topics. The draft thread is a discussion of 5-10 players we think might be available to the jazz. We will be discussing just about anyone we think will go first round

Lick it batbutt!!

It's who you think they will take, not should take.

I picked Okafor. He's the best player in the draft. Could end up being the best post up big for years to come. I don't care if Towns fits better. Okafor seems to me the more sure fire star

Except Towns doesn't go first because of fit. He goes first because he's the better 2-way player. I think Okafor may not even go 2nd. He easily has the best offensive game, and he is amazing in that aspect, but NBA teams have come to realize the importance of interior defense and how difficult it is to build around a big man who doesn't provide it.

Towns offense is miles from where Okafor's offense is. The other question is that we know Towns is a good defender, but is it Gobert good or Kenyon Martin good. Martin was a good defender but not good enough to make him special. None of us know.

What we do know is that Okafor is an elite low post scorer. I just think he's a better player and is more likely to be able to carry a team then Towns. At this point I'm not sold that he's elite at anything. Not saying he's a bust. I just don't know with Towns where as Okafor is expected by most to be great offensively.

Not so sure how quickly we should be penciling in Towns at #1, Okafor at #2. Word has itt Flip really likes Okafor. Will be some drama there

Interesting...

Okafor is a offensive force, no doubt. I'm just not sold on building around him. I'd much rather have a strong defensive foundation in the front court, even if the offense has to come from somewhere else. Kind of like what we got goin' on in Utah.;)

I know he's a good defensive player. But is he going to be good enough on defense to justify using the first pick on him when u know there is a big who could end up being the next McHale in the post.

The game has changed a lot since KM, though. He might end up being the next Al Jefferson.

Wow with Wiggins and the #1 the Tpups might actually turn it around. Get a big man to play with Wiggins. Ala Kobe and Shaq.

Our division just got a little tougher.

I am not really interested in who they will pick. They will fail somehow lol

Who will we draft? That's the only question I have

They go for Frank the Tank. NCAA MVP just like Trey was and look how he's worked out.

Carmelo Anthony, Shane Battier, Anthony Davis, Joakim Noah, Rip Hamilton, Patrick Ewing, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, Bill Walton, Jery West, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Darrell Griffith and James Worthy say hello.
