2015 NBA Playoffs

I've heard this line before somewhere. Must have been a brilliant poster.
Since you haven't been around long I will treat you to a history lesson:

During some very dark times when the Jazz were trapped in a terrible land called Basketball Mediocrity there were a handful of posters (maybe even fewer because I can only recall the name of one specifically) who claimed that there was a legitimate path out of our hellish existence. We begged for more information and were told it was the same route Golden State was using to rip our pick right out of our talent starved hands. Of course, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth at this news. We wished endless misery upon the Warrior Nation for their vile techniques and swore an oath that our franchise would never employ such a Godless strategy. There was also much talk that GS strategy would never pay off because in the process of their cheating they had instilled a permanent losing culture in their players, their fans, and even their very karma.

Eventually we were delivered a new prophet named Dennis Lindsey, and he led us down a new pathway. Of course, it was not the exact same path that Golden State had taken so, fortunately, we could still cling to the delusion that we were doing it a different way than the hated enemy known as Golden State.

Here is where things get a little foggy for me... because somehow in the past season Golden State has apparently become beloved by the majority of this site. I can't really figure out how that change came about because I never actually witnessed the removal of the permanent hex that we were certain that franchise had put upon itself. It may be that Steve Kerr possesses magical powers.

Regardless, the bottom line is that the majority on this site have now been converted to the GS strategy. Among other things, those of us who were so certain that it was an abominable thing and that the Warriors would pay a deep and permanent price for their sins are now grateful that the early proponents are not rubbing our collective noses in the growing mountain of evidence that proves that we were 100% incorrect.

Am I the only one in conflict here?

LBJ became the villain for going to Miami, linking with other superstars, and trying to buy a championship.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. GS is the superstar team. They have guys on their bench who could probably still be all stars. LBJ is making guys like Nughead Graffiti and Jimmer Lite look like Ray Allen and Steve Nash. It would be a great story to see LBJ come home and lead a very "meh" Cavs team to a championship. It might help boost him over that *** hole Jordan.

Meanwhile, I like Curry and their style. But why should GS be rewarded for tanking and buying a championship? But wouldn't it be awesome if they won it with Kerr? In your face Jackson!

I'm in conflict as I don't know who to cheer for. All previous years when Kobe or Lebron (as a Heat) I knew who I was cheering against. Now this year I'm not sure... I think I wouldn't mind seeing craptown win it.

nothing to see in this finals

gs will crack pretty soon
cavs players have more grit and are better prepared as a team
kerr is not really the man to lead, he didn't do anything his hole life other than trying to find some warm places to build his career on
gs's bench may keep them alive for some time, but that will not last long

on this level it's not just the basketball skills

....frankly, the only person associated with the NBA that true Jazz fanz despise.....is Dick Brevetta! We feel VERY STRONGLY that his bogus reffing in the 6th game of the Finals against the Bulls and Michael Jordan hosed our only chance at winning the title when we had Stockton and Malone at there peak! He took away one of our 3 pointers which had clearly beat the shot clock and gave the Bulls a 3 pointer which clearly came AFTER the shot clock expired! That 6 point swing was just too much for us to overcome against the likes of Jordan in his prime! Now other Jazz fanz might despise the Lakers, the Warriors and possibly a few other teams in our Conference. Personally, I'm more of a player "hater" than a team hater! For example, I can't stand J.R. Puke (Smith) nor did I care for Dennis Rodman! Can't stand the "Bird Man" either! Nor did I ever like Alonzo Mourning! I'm sure there are a few others who's names allude me at this time that would also make my list, but that should suffice for now!

yeah, nobody here knows basketball )

cavs in 5, gs are not that strong

...well, the last time Golden State was in the Finals, your head was probably the size of a grape! They were heavy underdogs against a well stacked team from Washington that boasted a couple of HOF guys, Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld! The Warriors had a rag tag team of role players and a guy named Rick Barry! Washington got swept in 4 games! This Golden State team is similar in that they have Curry, (might be a better shooter than Rick Barry, before it's all said and done!) and a bunch of rag tag role players that know how to play the game! Kerr is an EXCELLENT coach, and knows how to win championships, (he's got what, 3 or 4 of them?) and knows how to pull the right strings to get the most out of his players! If the Cavs beat them in 4 or 5 games, it would surprise me to no end, as it would many other basketball "experts!" You would be one of the few "experts" that feel otherwise!

Warriors in 5. Curry gonna have field days against that turnstile Irving. Enough size to defend Lebron 100%. Terrible matchup for Cleveland

Doubt they Irving will guard Curry. Probably going to be Shumpert.

It will be interesting to see if Steph guards Irving though.

Cavs in 6 as Lebron destroys everyone.

if cleveland somehow beats warriors and bron looking like a supehero then i'm gonna seriously consider moving Bron to top 5 all time.

for now i have

1. MJ
2. Magic
3. kareem
4. russell
5. duncan
6. wilt
7. bron
8. shaq
9. bird
10. kobe
11. hakeem
12. oscar

and bron has a plenty of time to eventually be #2 all time.

Iguodala will shut Irving's overrated *** up if he goes off, no sweat. Trust, bro. Cavs simply do not stand a chance. It's about to be last year, round 2.
