All I hear is a bunch of crying over a darft pick. "Wahh! We didn't get center to back up Goatbear! Wahh! Bad darft!"

Fools. Why look for that in the draft? There's this thing called free agency. And ... This is to find a piece for the future. Not now. You gays need to pop a molli and chill out. Too much estrogen in the air here.

I agree that all the yelling and complaining about the pick is laughable.

Only a nincompoop wouldn't like my post. The gays over there on the other end of the field who are like 41 years old and grew up listening to Elton John, Kenny G and Peter Frampton that have no sense of enlightenment. Them. Them gays right there my friend are the ones who hate on my ish.

That's your second offense...one more PUI and you'll be banned and have to ask your mom for internet privileges. Also a $25,000 fine to be given to any charity of my choice and a PSA explaining the tragic event in your life that made you what you are today.
 
I don't know that many are actually complaining (the vocal minority yes). But I do think that a lot of us are less than enthused by the pick.
 
Lyles didn't blow me away as the pick, but with a few days to digest it, it makes sense for three reasons:

1. The board didn't favor us; there really wasn't anyone available that had slipped and we were really left with Payne, Dekker, Booker or Lyles. We have more use for Lyles in terms of PT than any of those other guys at this stage.

2. The price to move up for someone like Winslow was much too rich (as evident by Charlotte declining six draft picks from Ainge & Co.)

3. I trust DL and the organization; they've made all the right moves so far, vetted over 100 prospects and watched countless hours of tape and analytics. We've watched occasional games and Youtube highlights.

Making snap decisions after a draft and annointing anyone is an exercise in futility; there's been too many examples of us loving certain picks that didn't pan out (Kanter, Humphries, Snyder, Deshawn, Brewer) while picks that were booed such as Hayward and Stockton end up making everyone look foolish.

Re-open these threads in 2018.
