If I asked you - do you think Favors or first-team all-NBA center Marc Gasol has better production (pace adjusted), what would you answer? Now Gasol is amazing playmaker and passer for the Grizzlies but pretty much by any other statistic Favors had a better season than Gasol. Since we played at the slowest pace in the league, here are the numbers for them per 100 possessions:

28/14 per 100 possession at 23 years of age. That's a stud in the making. I absolutely expect him to make all-star teams. Other players he had better year than - all-stars Al Horford (25.5/12) and Paul Millsap(26/12).

I have no idea why the FO would be willing to move Favors even if we got Millsap. It makes absolutely no sense to me. You don't sacrifice your future for the now(since Millsap will be declining for the length of his contract), especially when in the now we wouldn't be able to contend whether or not we get Millsap since we'd still have to wait on Exum to develop for another year or two.

Glad the numbers back up how it looks on the court. Hoping favors moves up into the 20/10 crowd and shuts up any more rumors about the Jazz looking to move him.

So.....you are saying Favors will definitely be the MVP this year?

I cannot WAIT for the season to start!!!!! Let's GO(bert) already!!!

I don't need no stinking analytics.

He passed the eye test with flying colors last year. He's as good as we all hoped he'd be.

LMAO at all the losers who wanted trade him for a draft pick so they could sign Millsap and draft Porzingis.

Dumbest thing ever.

I'm still disgusted that the "Trade Favors" rumors were ever even a thing.

.

Who wanted that?

This seems pretty smart to me depending on exactly what the Jazz can get for Favors. If it is indeed something like Favors, Burke, #12 for Calderon and #4 it is IMO a solid thought process if they are targeting Porzingis(if they view him as a Dirk level player) and have a strong indication they can sign Millsap. Millsap IMO is a better fit for Gobert and if Porzingis turns out to be Nowitzki reincarnated not only are the Jazz in position to compete for the playoffs this year, but great shape to be title contenders in years to come. Plus the Jazz gets a veteran(foreign) PG to help Exum grow.

Millsap is a much better player than Favors

Favors is severely overrated

Unless they pick up Porzingis and expect to give him 2 years to develop behind Millsap. Then our big three are Gobert, Porzingis and Exum.

Just a few who thought that Porz and Milsap option was better than Favors. There are others and more quotes from theses people.

Local media (Spence Checketts) cooking up a story based on the fact that Millsap used to play here and he liked Quin in Atlanta. Granted, Checketts made the disclaimer that he didn't have any sources but that didn't stop him from spinning this yarn... he was just wondering out loud. . . I hate Spence Checketts. Stupid story - does he think we're idiots? That we'd all be geeked to reunite with Millsap at the cost of Favors? So dumb.

I love Millsap but Favors is the future. Holy crap.

None of those dudes you quoted said that they would like the jazz to trade favors. (Though yell saying millsap > favors could be assumed that he wanted to trade favors.... I give you that one)
