Offer him a 3-year deal worth around 12 mil or even a 2-year deal worth around 8 mil.

Bring over Pleiss and Neto, sign Hanlan.

Guards: Exum, Burke, Neto, Hanlan
Wings: Hayward, Burks, Hood, McDaniels
Bigs: Gobert, Favors, Lyles, Pleiss

Looks like a pretty good team to me. That leaves room for three more guys, it gives Utah the opportunity to keep who they want (Booker, Ingles, Cotton, etc.) or trade the non-guaranteed contracts they have + Burke for a player or two and picks.

McDaniels wouldn't need to play 30+ mins, 20-25 a night would be nice and we could easily make it work counting the spot time Burks would play at PG and Hayward at PF amongst other things.

I like McDaniels at that price A LOT better than maxing out Green or Middleton for multiple reasons. DL has a lot of assets to work with this offseason.

at this moment i don't think cotton should be the odd man out in the guard spot, i think he has so far proven he is marginally better than burke and possibly neto too.

i am curious to watch hanlan play

Pay KJ McDaniels 7 million per year for the same thing Millsap does at 800K?

I'd rather max out a grilled cheese sandwich than give McDaniels anything above 3 million per year.
 
Also, I don't know if he's able to receive that kind of money. His max contract has to start at MLE.
 
I can't over how bad the idea of signing McDaniels to a 3 year 20 million dollar contract is.

Like it blows my mind someone wants to pay a 2nd year player who was a 2nd round draft pick, who is 22 years old, who just shot <40% from the field and <30% from deep 6.5 million dollars per year.

Like WTF.

Dude, stfu. That contract will look so ****ing puny in a year. Lol this coming from the guy who wants to give 16 mil a year to Danny Green and Khris Middleton.

Plus we could probably get him for less.
 
WC, I have to agree with Cy... this is pretty horrible use of money. KJ hasn't shown any offensive game whatsoever and he cannot even knock down open shots. He's not worth that money.

Lol never said it was a done deal at 3 year 20 mil, could probably get him for less. Better than maxing Green or Middleton.
