BL: I think Mulder is better than Lee and he also plays for a coach that will get him drafted vs... Not.
Louisville now has a total of 4 players in the NBA (Dieng, Russ Smith, Harrell and Rozier). I'd contend that UL will probably produce another 4 NBA players in the next 3 seasons though. Which could end up being of some concern to this thread(and maybe even the Jazz scouting dept).. ya never know.
Their offense can't possibly be as hard to watch as last season, the main reason I think so is infact Damion Lee. Last year in the games Blackshear wasn't hot,
which was most of them, It was like they were chucking the ball at the rim and hoping for a foul call or rebound, and that was the offense.
Solid recruiting class, no imminent 1st rounders, they've got some projects that could pan out though;
If I had to pick one of their incoming freshman who could possibly do better than many expect, It'd be
Donovan Mitchell. A 6'3", explosive, powerfully built PG, who could possibly take to the Rozier role quicker than expected.
I do think Donovan's HS Teammate, Jalen Adams (UConn) is a better NBA prospect though..
DX has
Chinau Onuwaku in the first round, not sure I'm buying that - he's kinda Vernon Macklin-esque. He's worth keeping an eye on though. Sophomore thats younger than most incoming freshman (see Deng Adel)
Incoming freshman
Raymond Spalding, seems to play very much like former UL 1st round pick, (overdrafted/overrated), Earl Clark - 6'9", with a 7'1" wingspan, he's versatile, gets blocks and steals, grabs rebounds and shows pretty good ball-skills. Spalding isn't strong like Clark was though, could end up an interesting project nonetheless.
The best Egyptian prospect I've ever seen(only other one i can remember is Omar Sanhan),
Anas Mahmoud, is probably worth keeping an eye on,
probably not for this 2016 draft though, unless something drastic happens. He's got a nice combination of size(7'1, wingspan in the vicinity of 7'4", has skill(soft touch) and timing, He's also a lefty.
Incoming freshman
Deng Adel is probably the teams biggest x-factor, he's old for the class and will turn 20 in February. An oversized but not gigantic SF (6'10 wingspan) will certainly make a name for himself if he can continue to improve his outside shot and ball-skills, he's got a solid mid-range game, can slash and he's got a good motor. He's only been playing ball a few years, which is pretty impressive when ya see his skillset.
