They're estimating she's 20' long, and have named her Deep Blue. Found off the coast of Guadalupe. It's said she's over 50 years old.

Here's a few bonus Sharks that are reportedly 20' too.

I saw that. They said she just glided right up to them out of the deep. Said she was pregnant as well. So she's passing on those genes.

Kinda crazy. That Shark isn't far off from how big they tried to make Bruce in Jaws look. He was supposed to be 25'

Alf Dean's record setting shark, which obliterated the previous record was only 16' or so

He used a porpoise as bait to catch this thing too.. Thats why he beat the record by like 1,500 lbs

While it’s hard to imagine a larger shark than this all-time record holder, Dean swore that there was a bigger one out there. In 1952 he hooked into a great white that he gauged at over 20 feet in length and 4,000 pounds in weight. The shark battled Dean for over an hour before coming to rest next to the boat at which point his reel seized and the line snapped. Dean saw the same shark eight years later but was unable to entice her to bait.

Just another reason I stay out of open water past my waist.

That one dude's outside of the cage. I think I'd need a new wet suit I that were me. It's actually one of my bucket list items to dive in a cage like that with sharks, especially a great white. But I insist that I have to be in a cage.

The sharks would be taking vid of you and posting it to sharktube. "Biggest seal ever filmed"

Yeah, the dude outside the cage is crazy. It looked like he was thinking of jumping off the cage and hitching a ride on the shark for a moment.

Jesus that looks humongous. In girth too. Much thicker, stronger looking than many of the great whites you often see on camera or in photographs.

Statistically you have way higher odds being struck by lighting then attacked by shark.

That is a misleading statistic being that more people live where lightning occurs (basically everywhere) than where sharks live.
And even people who live near areas where sharks are (beaches) don't always even go into the ocean. (Though I think if you live near a beach and don't go to the beach and in the ocean then you are an idiot)

It evens up as shark attacks can happen all year round in those areas while lighting strikes are seasonal in a lot of areas.
