How bad will it have to get before Houston starts shopping everybody?

The likely move is hire Thibs or Van Gundy. Trade D Howard to the highest bidder, put Capella at center who is really coming along.
 
Who would have thought we would be ahead of Houston and the clippers in the standings at this point in the season.

If we are talking about teams blowing it up and needing picks, we should talk about Brooklyn.

Thaddeus Young for Booker/Millsap/Johnson/Lyles/OKC's 1st Rounder

I don't know if that trade would work (or if Brooklyn would entertain it), and it can't be made for another month, but Young is locked up in a long-term contract that is probably a slight overpay, but he would make a good 3rd big.

I would love that trade, I probably wouldn't offer Lyles though.

Mentioned this in a game thread after I saw someone mention it on Twitter. It's a perfect fit if we find ourselves wanting to reload at the deadline. Booker, GS pick, and a future protected pick should be enough.

Nobody in their right mind is saying they'll blow it up now. Duhbrough. The question is when will it be so bad that they must. That is, INTHEFUTURE sometime. Comprende?

If I am not mistaken if they do not have a top 3 pick their pick goes byebye I believe to Philly so if I were them I would want a really bad season. Get the top 3 pick. Be done with Kobe's 25 million contract and rebuild.
 
Dont ask me why Houston would want to trade somebody who could help them in the future, but Alessandro Gentile is their property right now. He is the leading scorer in the Euroleague, but not a particularly good defender. If we made a trade I would try to put him in the talks.

yes ironic that Dallas has a better record. Pachulia was a great under the radar pickup. Only cost them a second rounder. Jazz should have considered a trade for that.
