Gordon Hayward Rise to Becoming The Best 3pt Shooter in The League

He's playing a much less ball dominant role, more of a 3rd cog role. Do his minute and shooting stats change that role???

While my comment was half serious, there is truth to it. While it's debatable, I would be willing to say Favors often times is the first option, or they are trying to make him the first option.
It seems that while the team, or coach, is trying to do that... the numbers don't lie. If your third "cog" is taking the most shots and efficiently at that, then your first two "cogs" need some work.

Is your third cog, really your first one then when the rubber meets the road?

I don't think there is a true first option consistently. If anything I would go with Favors 1a, and Hayward 1b as to what they want to do... but in "practice" it is Hayward 1a and Favors 1b.

Hayward is the clear first option imo

Hayward is playing much more of a third cog ROLE in the offense this season compared to last.

There is no first option on this team; that's not how the offense is structured, not even close.

All I want for Christmas is Rudy Gobert

I would be a little nervous if he came back to soon. I know he's the kind of guy that wants to get back on the court as soon as he possibly can. But I just want him to be absolutely no doubt 100% first

You know team doctors are the ones who decide when a player can go, not the player.

Currently shooting .434% from the 3pt line on 4.5 attempts per game (would be career high in attempts per game if stays at this #). Shooting .531% in the month of December on 5.4 attempts per game.

Only 3 guys who are shooting a higher % than Hayward also have more attempts: Curry, Teletovic, and Thompson.
Wow, what a ****ty thread title!..."Gordon Hayward Rise to Becoming The Best 3pt Shooter EVER" is far more appropriate.

Go on... pretend I'm some stupid fan that doesn't know jack and can't see beyond the end of his nose.
(shouldn't be too hard as it's not too far from the truth)

I want to see what you are seeing. Do you see two offensive options that are used most often before they use Hayward as on option? If so, why does Hayward get the most attempts. Could it be that Hayward is the second option when Favors is on the floor, and the 2nd option when Burks is on the floor?

Is it a specific player that are options 1 and 2... or is it play sets that don't involve Hayward that are options 1 and 2?
