just 2.5 games out of the 6 seed. That's it. Gobert could be back sooner rather than later and Burks isn't out forever. My goal is, **** it, the 5 seed. We're 4.5 games out but I think Dallas could fade and if we can get healthy, get within 2-2.5 games, we could smell it and make it happen. And we could play the Clips, a better match-up for us, in the first round.

5th seed against the clipps would be fantastic.
Favors and Gobert are going to need to start playing though. We won't win many more games with the current lineup

Im still in slight panic mode. We have our 2 best bigs with injuries that could threaten to be nagging all year (Favors bad back and Rudy's bad knee).

And yet we're still this close to the 6th seed. That's my point. Listen, I won't lie, the next five are tough. But if we can go 2-3 over that span, we then have a set of games that are very, very winnable. No elite team. They go Lakers, Blazers, Kings, Lakers, Hornets, Knicks, Nets, Wiz, Pistons, Hornets, Wolves, Bulls, Nuggets, Bucks, Suns, Mavs, Pels, Celtics, Blazers. That's a 19 game stretch. If we can get Favors and Gobert back for that most of or even that whole stretch which starts January 10th and can gut out a nice 13-6 or better record, we'll be on our way.
 
We're 14-17. If we go just 1-4 the next five, that's 15-21. If we then go 13-6 after that, we'd be at 28-27. Not far off winning our bet fish.

I am looking at this as glass half full. All these injuries are getting Lyles and Withey more time. Neto is probably about the same. Once we get healthy, we'll all of a sudden feel deep and our guys will be battle-tested so to speak.

Holy crap. I knew we'd played a lot of tough teams and things had to even out, but wow! If we have Rudy and Favors back we should be making up some serious ground at that point. Watch out Dubs.

We are going to be so much better now that Burks is out of the lineup.

I have said for weeks that January and February lighten up considerably. Jazz have one of the easiest schedules to finish the season. We got this.
 
If we were to pull out a win tomorrow, we would be 1.5 games out of 6th. I'm not holding y breath, but that would be huge. Hope Favs can get well soon.

Basketball reference has Gobert coming back mid Jan, not sure of their source, but they don't mess around with info.

Well considering they didn't rule him out last night till almost game time it sounds like he will be back shortly.

Not good. Brees has come out of nowhere. I have about a 78 yard lead over Rivers and 85 over Brees I think. Right down to the wire.
